CLAUDIO CASTIGLIONI: TWENTY YEARS OF HUSQVARNA'S HISTORY
Claudio Castiglioni, 64 years old and President of MV Agusta Motor S.p.A. passed away on 17th of August in Varese, Italy , after a courageous battle against an illness.
Claudio Castiglioni has marked twenty years in the history of Husqvarna. From 1987 to 2007, the year that the company was sold to the BMW Group, the charismatic entrepreneur f...rom Varese, Italy relaunched the Swedish brand and obtained important results in sales as well as in motorsports. Among the main products introduced under Castiglioni are all the Husqvarna Supermoto models, headed by the limited edition Nox, the TE510 Centennial, an enduro special edition launched on the occasion of the centenary of the historic brand, and the 610, produced as a Dual Sport version and a Supermoto.
55 of Husqvarna’s 78 world titles were obtained during the Castiglioni era in the disciplines of motocross, enduro and supermoto. One cannot forget the 500cc World Motocross Championship won by Jacky Martens on the TC610 in 1993, the first 4 stroke bike to dominate modern motocross, the first victory in an AMA Supercross race in the United States by a European motorcycle manufacturer (2001 Atlanta - Travis Preston - Husqvarna CR125 – team Fast by Ferracci), and the 44 world titles won in Enduro with Team CH Racing of Fabrizio and Roberto Azzalin.

Claudio Castiglioni, 64 anni, Presidente di MV Agusta Motor S.p.A., è mancato il 17 agosto a Varese, dopo aver lottato coraggiosamente contro la malattia.
Claudio Castiglioni ha segnato vent’anni importanti nella storia Husqvarna.
Dal 1987 al 2007, anno di cessione dell’attività al gruppo BMW, il carismatico imprenditore varesino ha rilanciato il marchio svedese cogliendo importanti risultati sia dal punto di vista commerciale che in quello sportivo.
Tra i principali prodotti Husqvarna introdotti durante la gestione Castiglioni sono da segnalare tutte le Husqvarna da Supermotard, con a capo la Nox prodotta in versione limitata, la TE 510 Centennial, una special edition lanciata in occasione del centenario dello storico marchio e il 610 prodotto sia in versione Dual Sport che in versione Motard.
Ben 55 (sui 78 totali) sono i titoli mondiali vinti nell’era Castiglioni da Husqvarna nelle discipline motocross, enduro e supermotard , dove non si possono dimenticare il mondiale motocross 500 vinto da Jacky Martens nel 1993 con la TC610 prima quattro tempi a dominare nel motocross moderno, la prima vittoria in una gara supercross AMA negli Stati Uniti di una moto europea (2001 Atlanta – Travis Preston – Husqvarna CR 125 - team Fst By Ferracci), e i 44 titoli mondiali di enduro vinti tutti con il team CH Racing di Fabrizio e Roberto Azzalin.

Der Friseur ist tot! Na und? er Hat Husky ausgebeutet, gequält und halb tot verkauft.

Hi,
neeeee hat seine Träume gelebt ohne Rücksicht auf schwarze Zahlen. So Motorräder wie eine 916 oder MV Augusta hätte es sonst nicht gegeben. Hatte auch dieses Spiel solange getrieben bis seine Neuentwicklungen für ein halbes Jahrzent in der Schublade verschwunden ist. Da er kein Geld zum weitermachen hatte. Die Doppelnockermotoren einer 510ner hätte schon mitte Ende der 90ziger fertig sein können. Mann sollte mal hinterfragen warum es den Caciva Konzern nicht immer so rosig ging. Ist zwar nicht in den Strassensport gegangen wie KTM. Hat aber auf ähnliche Art und Weise sein Konzern runtergewirtschaftet.
Du weißt aber schon was er zuvor gemacht hat. Und wie es z.B. zu der 916 kam ?????
Der Italienischen Motorradindustrie hat Motorräder mit Emotionen gebaut. Kleine Hersteller die Meilensteine der Motorradgeschichte geschrieben hat. Also Vorsicht mit vorschnellen Äußerrungen.
